Objective of the game
The objective of the game is simple, although they are many kinds of bets to keep in mind. The game provides a lot of betting options. The basic is easy. You choose a slot and bet on it. When the wheel is rolled, if the number or the color you chose shows up, then you win. In the European roulette, there is a betting option called En Prison, which will give you a safety net. If the ball falls on a zero, then you get another chance. You can either place a bet again or take half of your bet money.
Bet on a single number
There are different categories, in which you can place your bet. The wheel basically has 36 numbers, from 1 to 36. Then you have a single 0 in European roulette and single and double zeros in American roulette. You can bet on any single number.
Bet on groups
The slots in the roulette wheel are of two colors, red and black. So, you can bet on a color instead of a number. If the ball falls on any number of your chosen color, you win. Then you can bet in groups instead of the single number. You can choose a group of numbers like the first 12 numbers from 1 to 12, the second 12 numbers from 13 to 24 and the third 12 numbers from 25 to 36 or you can also bet on the first 18 and the next 18 numbers. You can win if the dice falls in any number within this group. You can bet on any odd number or any even number. You can choose corners, rows or two rows. Basically, the game provides you with lots of options to bet on. Betting in groups, on colors and odds or evens will give you a better chance of winning.
Inside and outside bets
The wheel has two rings, an outer ring and an inner ring. You can choose one ring and a category in that ring and place your bet. The inner ring bets are single number, double, triple, four, five and six number bets. The outside bets are group bets like a dozen row bet, a dozen group bet, and color bet, odd-even bet and low-high number bet.
How to play roulette
One roulette table can play eight players. When you decide to play, you first convert your money into chips. When you play in casinos, in order to avoid confusion, each player is given different colored chips. If you are playing online, then all the players will be given same colored chips. Once you get the chips, you make a bet. There are no restrictions to the kind of bet you can place. You can change your bet till the dealer signals a stop. Then he spins the wheel. The ball will begin to roll on the wheel. When the wheel stops rotating, the ball will land on a slot. If the slot matches the type of bet you have placed, then you win. The dealer will announce all the bets that have won and distribute the money according to the bet that the players have placed. All the losing bets will go to the house.
